The Honeywell 8680i is a powerful, cordless scanner that has been specially developed for hands-free work in fast scanning workflows. Thanks to its ergonomic design, the scanner is always at hand and enables users to organize parallel workflows more efficiently. Especially in high-throughput work environments - such as picking, packing or sorting - the 8680i scores with time savings and less movement. The standard version offers Bluetooth® functionality to display connection status, battery status and scan results. For more demanding applications, the Advanced model also offers a line-of-sight display and WLAN connectivity. Two buttons also enable direct interaction, for example to confirm work steps or report exceptions.

Flexibility and robustness for any environment

The 8680i can be flexibly adapted to different requirements. It can be worn either as a two-finger ring or on a glove. Depending on shift duration or weight requirements, a standard or high-performance battery is available. This makes the scanner suitable for short, frequent use as well as for long shifts with a high scanning frequency. The 8680i underlines its robustness with its ability to withstand 2,000 impacts from a height of 0.5 meters and 30 drops from 1.5 meters onto concrete. With protection class IP54 and a wide temperature range from -20 °C to 50 °C, it is ideal for harsh industrial environments.

Maximum connectivity and easy integration

In addition to Bluetooth, the Advanced model also supports WLAN (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and can be expanded with a software development kit (SDK) for individual workflow integration. This means that the 8680i may even replace the need for an additional mobile computer. Fast pairing is possible via NFC, and firmware and settings updates can be managed centrally - ideal for large teams and complex IT infrastructures.
