Top features of the Honeywell Granit XP 1990i

  • Maximum robustness: Drop-proof up to 3 m and 7,000 impacts - ideal for the toughest operating conditions
  • Reliable scanning performance: reliably reads even damaged and poorly printed barcodes
  • Industry-optimized sealing: IP67-certified housing with deeply recessed scan window

Extremely robust and durable - built for harsh industrial environments

The Granit XP 1990iSR is Honeywell's answer to the demands of tough working environments. Whether on the loading dock, in the warehouse or on a forklift - this scanner remains functional even after a fall from 3 meters. In addition, it can withstand the 7,000 impact test in a 1-meter drum, making it one of the toughest scanners in its class. Thanks to its IP67-certified sealing, the device is optimally protected against dust and moisture. The particularly impact- and scratch-resistant scan window has also been recessed deep into the housing - a well thought-out solution to the typical weak points of conventional industrial scanners. The temperature range of -30 °C to +50 °C allows use in cold stores, outdoor applications or hot production facilities. Even electrostatic discharges (ESD) up to ±20 kV (air) or ±8 kV (contact) cannot harm the scanner.

Precise scanning even with poor barcode quality

Productivity stands and falls with the quality of scanning. The Granit XP 1990iSR impresses with a modern imaging system with a high-resolution sensor (1280 x 800 pixels) and intelligent decoding algorithms. It not only reads standard barcodes quickly and reliably, but also processes damaged, poorly printed or dirty labels that other devices are often unable to capture. It recognizes all common 1D, 2D, PDF and OCR codes and, with a movement tolerance of up to 4,500 mm/s, is reliable even with fast barcode scanning. The 1990iSR shows its strength particularly at close range - i.e. wherever the barcode is directly in front of the device.

Optimum integration and management in the company

Integration of the scanner into existing IT environments is flexible and uncomplicated thanks to USB, soft keyboard and RS-232 TTL interfaces. In addition, Honeywell's Scanner Management Utility (SMU) offers a solution for centralized scanner management and updating. The Operational Intelligence software can also be used to carry out evaluations and optimizations regarding the productivity and use of the device.
