Technologically, the DS4608-HC impresses with an 800 MHz processor, megapixel sensor and Zebra's PRZM Intelligent Imaging. Even the smallest or curved barcodes on infusion bottles, syringes or laboratory tubes are detected quickly and reliably - even on color-coded surfaces. The warm white LEDs ensure optimum readability even with difficult materials.

Nursing staff and laboratory teams benefit from flexible feedback modes: audible, visual or via vibration. The latter is particularly advantageous in night-time operation or on neonatal wards. The safe LED targeting avoids the use of lasers and enables risk-free scanning - even for newborns. Particularly efficient: with "Preferred Symbol", the scanner only recognizes the required barcode on e.g. blood bags - no need to cover up surrounding codes. With "MDF" (multiple code data formatting), several barcodes can be scanned simultaneously and transferred in the desired order. A simple switch between manual and presentation mode saves time - the device switches automatically when inserted into the optional station.

Tools such as 123Scan and the Scanner Management Service (SMS) enable central configuration, even across different locations - without any manual intervention.
