Equipped with a powerful 800 MHz microprocessor, high-resolution megapixel sensor and Zebra's exclusive PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology, the DS8108 reads even hard-to-read or damaged barcodes - whether on paper or displays. Typical applications include point-of-sale systems in retail, order picking and shipping in logistics or demanding scanning processes in industry. Target recognition via bright LEDs, a scanning range of up to 61 cm and the ability to capture multiple codes ensure maximum efficiency - even with high throughput.

Innovative technologies for faster processes

The DS8108 recognizes multiple barcodes simultaneously and transmits them in exactly the desired order thanks to Multi-Code Data Formatting (MDF). This is particularly practical for packaged products or complex labels. The Preferred Symbol can also be used to select a single barcode from a group - without manually covering up surrounding codes. The visual feedback via the Direct Decode Indicator confirms a successful scan directly by flashing on the barcode. This allows employees to immediately recognize whether a scan was successful, even in noisy environments. The scanner supports Digimarc technology for particularly secure applications such as digital watermark codes.

Robust design, easy integration

The Zebra DS8108 is IP52 protected against dust and liquids, can withstand multiple drops from up to 1.8 m and withstands 2,000 drops in drop tests. Thanks to USB, RS232 and IBM RS485, it is compatible with all common systems. Setup is plug-and-play, supported by Zebra tools such as 123Scan, Scanner Management Service (SMS) and extensive SDKs for Windows, iOS, Android and Linux.
