Zebra ZD421 - The smart 4-inch desktop printer for maximum flexibility

The Zebra ZD421 is a powerful desktop printer that has been specially developed for reliable label printing in dynamic environments. As the successor to the successful GK and ZD420 series, it offers significantly more processing power, easier operation and comprehensive options for media handling, connectivity and remote management.

Available as a direct thermal, thermal transfer, cassette printer and as a healthcare version, the ZD421 can be individually adapted to a wide range of requirements - whether in retail, healthcare, warehousing or for transport labels. Particularly practical: on-site upgrades are possible, for example for WLAN, Bluetooth or label dispensers - without complicated device replacement.

With a robust double-wall housing, OpenACCESS™ design for fast media changes, real-time clock, BLE app support and color-coded touch points, the ZD421 makes everyday label printing much easier.

Intelligent networking, simple integration and maximum data security

The Print DNA software suite turns the ZD421 into an intelligent printing system with integrated remote management, secure operation and automated fault diagnostics. The PrintSecure platform protects the device against cyberattacks, while the Printer Profile Manager Enterprise enables the central configuration of multiple printer fleets.

Equipped with USB 2.0, USB host, BLE setup and real-time clock as standard, the printer can be optionally expanded with Ethernet, serial RS-232 interface, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 - ideal for hybrid or mobile workstations.

A particular highlight is the ribbon cassette (with the corresponding variant): It can be changed in a flash and contains a chip that signals when it is time to change - ideal for shift work or inexperienced users. A battery solution with up to one shift running time is available for mobile applications.

Thanks to its compatibility with ZebraDesigner, ZBI, EPL, ZPL and PDF Direct, the printer is ideal for both new projects and as an upgrade to existing systems.
